Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
Hi! We are an internet platform that connects Local businesses across a variety of categories with talent for a variety of hiring needs.
This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect about you when you use:
- Our website LOCLx.com;
- Our mobile applications (including the mobile app for Android and iOS, when it becomes available); and
- Other products and services that are available on or through our website, LOCLx.com
Throughout this Privacy Policy we’ll refer to our website, mobile applications and other products and services collectively as “Services.”
Below we explain how we collect, use, and share information about you, along with the choices that you have with respect to that information.
Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to any of our products or services that have a separate privacy policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
Information We Collect
We only collect information about you if we have a reason to do so–for example, to provide our Services, to communicate with you, or to make our Services better.
We collect information in three ways: if and when you provide information to us, automatically through operating our services, and from outside sources. Let’s go over the information that we collect.
Information You Provide to Us
It’s probably no surprise that we collect information that you provide to us. The amount and type of information depends on the context and how we use the information. Here are some examples:
- Basic Account Information: We ask for basic information (username and email) from you in order to set up your account and be able to log into the secured areas of our platform. In order to meaningfully use our platform, you are recommended to additionally complete a candidate profile (seeking employment) OR employer profile (providing employment).
- Candidate Profile Information: After signing up, individuals seeking work are recommended to provide information to build their candidate profile in order to garner interest from prospective employers. A typical candidate profile contains information like contact details (phone number), work history, education history, professional certifications/licenses, references/testimonial details. When the candidate applies for a job, Employers get access to Candidate Resume with details mentioned above (including candidate email and phone number). Premium employers can additionally browse candidates which will show the Public profile which contains candidate details mentioned earlier minus the contact details (i.e. except candidate email, phone number etc). Candidates can see exactly what their Resume and Profile Looks like and what details are available to Employers. Candidate Resumes/Public profiles are NOT visible to other Candidates or any non-logged-in users
- Employer Profile Information: Individuals representing businesses seeking to hire talent will create an employer profile which consists of details of the primary contact, address, industry classification, business biography and links to other public business profiles. Employer profiles are not viewable by candidates or by non-logged-in users but some details like the biography and social media profile links will be visible from Job postings.
- Job Posting Information: As an Employer who uses our service to post a job, you would provide us with information relating to the preferred requirements, job description, compensation and benefits details. Information provided in Jobs is viewable by candidates and non-logged in users
- Transaction and Billing Information: If you buy something from us–a premium subscription or other services like a background check, for example – you will provide additional personal and payment information that is required to process the transaction and your payment, such as your name, credit card information, and contact information. Your payment information is stored with our payment provider, Stripe
- Communications with Platform particants: When you communicate with another person on our Platform (i.e. Employer to Candidate or vice versa) using our messaging system (Conversations), the details of the communication is obviously shared between the two parties and is recorded on our system (along with a notification sent by our platform to your email/phone number as specified by your communication profile). Applicant Candidate emails and phone numbers are visible to the Employers (but not vice versa) so direct communication bypassing our platform can be alternatively be initiated.
- Communications with Us: You may also provide us information when you respond to surveys, communicate with our technical/customer support, or post a question/response in our public forums (when they become available).
Information We Collect Automatically
We also collect some information automatically:
- Log Information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. For example, we collect information about the actions that site administrators and users perform on LOCLx.com – in other words, who did what, when and to what thing on a site (e.g., [LOCLx.com username] created draft application for Job [ID] at [time/date]). We also collect information about what happens when you use our Services (e.g., page views, resource page access, button clicks) along with information about your device (e.g., mobile screen size, name of cellular network, and mobile device manufacturer in our mobile app). We use this information to, for example, provide our Services to you, as well as get insights on how people use our Services, so we can make our Services better.

We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit a particular job from certain geographic regions. We may also collect information about your precise location via our mobile apps (when, for example, you attach a project photograph with location information) if you allow us to do so through your mobile device operating system’s permissions.

LOCLx.com uses cookies and other technologies like pixel tags to help us identify and track visitors, usage, and access preferences for our Services, as well as track and understand e-mail campaign effectiveness and to deliver targeted ads in some cases.
